As the world changes,

Work Smarter!

Webinar Series - Recordings
What to do after high school?
Picture
This is a question that rolls around in the mind of most high schoolers, but the answer often doesn't come easy.

Should I go to college? If so, where? What degree should I get?
How do I pay for an education which costs thousands of dollars?
Should I go to trade school or learn a skill instead?
Is it better to just start working first and decide later on?
Picture
One key area, however, is often overlooked...
"What is God's purpose for my life?"

Broadly, our purpose is to glorify God (Colossians 3:17).
So the heart of the matter is discovering how God uniquely made you and
what doors He is opening for your good and His glory
(Ephesians 2:8-9).

Homeschool millennials sharing wisdom with the next generation of homeschoolers

Picture
In this webinar series, Hanna interviews different homeschool graduates who share unique opportunities God gave them during and after high school to use the talents God gave them. Some share about things they did to get through college faster, and cheaper, in order to get started quicker in what they wanted to do, and some share other paths that they took to fulfill God's purpose for them.

Most of these speakers are entrepreneurs with small businesses/ministries and used creative ways to reach their goals. They desire to share successes and failures so that the next generation can learn from their experience so that you can work smarter in this changing world as you navigate life after high school and discover God's purposes for you.

If you are a high schooler, parent, or young adult,
you won't want to miss these insightful interviews!

#1 Tip from Each Speakers for
Working Smarter in this Changing World

Chad - Learn to effectively leverage and utilize ChatGPT. ... Think of it as a virtual assistant that can help you with tasks, creative projects, business and marketing ..., troubleshooting problems and a whole bunch more.

Bonus: Write out your to-do list and projects you want to accomplish. Then prioritize and re-prioritize your list(s) [at the start of] each week to decide what and when you will tackle your tasks throughout the week
.
Evan - Learn practical skills while still in high school like learning to cook, good nutrition, and developing good sleep habits. These will serve you your whole life, especially during stressful times.
Kristin
  • Keep growing and learning about the world around you.
  • Understand yourself--what are your strengths, weaknesses, and things you enjoy doing. When you connect those dots in your life, that helps you to find your life purpose.
  • Be flexible.
Valerie - You need to know the WHY behind your Christian faith for yourself—not simply relying on your parent’s faith or what you hear from someone else. This means having skills to grow and maintain your faith like studying Scripture, being part of a local Christian community, and learning the evidence for why Christianity is true.

Also, when it comes to life, remember you aren’t figuring out everything on your own.
God is there every step of the way.
Rachel - Every employer is looking for hard workers. Building good habits now will benefit you later on. These habits include being self-disciplined, being a hard worker, challenging yourself, thinking well , being proactive, not complaining, having a good attitude, and being dedicated to the work that is set before you.
