Pastor Andy Huber (Equipping Teens: Minstry Training areas)
Andy Huber grew up in central Wyoming. He became a follower of Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while in high school. He attended college at the University of Wyoming and soon learned that he had a gift for ministering to children and youth. He served as a counselor and director for several children’s and youth summer camps, and even met his wife, Megan, when they served together at one of them. He received his first call to ministry from Laramie Valley Chapel, where he served in the music ministry and as the youth and children’s pastor for five years. Andy grew in his passion for teaching and ministering God’s Word, and through the encouragement of a few godly men, began attending classes at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Denver, CO. In 2009, Andy resigned from his position at Laramie Valley Chapel in order to move his family to Louisville, KY where he attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as a full-time student. While in Louisville, Andy served in the music ministry at Baxter Avenue Church and he and Megan both served in the youth and children’s ministries there as well. Andy also worked at the seminary recreational facility as the Director of Children’s Programming. After graduating from seminary in May of 2012, Andy was called as the Associate Pastor at Church of the Open Door in July of 2012. His main responsibilities there are directing both the youth and music ministries, as well as teaching, preaching, and discipling the believers.  In addition to church ministry, Andy serves on the IFCA International Youth Council, where he helps plan and organize regional and national IFCA Youth Ministry meetings.

Andy earned his Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, Family Life Education from the University of Wyoming in 2006. He earned his Master of Divinity, with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012.

Andy and Megan have three children. Two daughters, Hadley and Joni, and a son, Royce.
Erin and Joe mCGhee (Show me homeschool)
Hey there, we’re Joe and Erin McGhee and we’re the founders of Show Me Homeschool. We met and fell in love in the beautiful country of Scotland where we were participating in a non-denominational Christian discipleship school. A secondary focus of the school was hiking and exploration along the paths of the Celtic Christians who spread the gospel throughout the UK. Our love of God and sharing the Gospel, as well as hiking, has been passed down to our four children, who range in age from 6 to 18 years old.

We are entering our 12th year of homeschooling our children and have just graduated our eldest daughter this May. She is now a student at a discipleship school in Washington. We have two boys in high school, going into 9th and 11th grade, and our youngest daughter just completed Kindergarten. It’s safe to say, we’re going to be in the homeschool community for quite a while longer.

In the last twelve years, we have been volunteer board members for our state homeschool organization and Erin has volunteered with and held the position of President on the board of a local homeschool support group serving almost 300 families at the time. Erin led a weekly homeschool Wild Explorers hiking group for a couple of years where we built lasting friendships in our local homeschool community. Erin was also host of the “GOAT Homeschooling with Erin and Amanda” podcast with over 50 episodes and almost 10,000 downloads dedicated to serving the long-haul homeschoolers (those homeschooling longer than 5 years and planning on homeschooling through high school).  Finally, Erin currently co-leads a homeschool support group of nearly 150 members within the county we reside in.
We are here to help you overcome the common pitfalls in faulty thinking about your ability to home educate your children. With the right mindset, sourcing appropriate tools for your specific homeschool that meet your family goals, and connecting with other home educators, you are on your way to success!

We have homeschooled through fostering, adoption, special needs, chronic illness, death, moving, and so much more. One of the biggest indicators of success in families sticking with home education through high school is the confidence level of the primary educator (usually mom) and the day-to-day support of the other parent (usually dad). Or in the case of single parenting, surrounding yourself with other like-minded homeschoolers and being encouraged to continue on by people in your community. Believing you are equipped to educate your children is the first hurdle to jump over. Once you understand that God has given you the responsibility and the ability to parent your unique children, you can start your homeschool journey with confidence.

DON WILSON (SCRIPTURE: MISSOURI BAPTIST BIBLE DRILL)
Don Wilson is the State Director of Missouri Baptist Bible drill and also the Associational Director of Bible Drill for Greene County, MO. As a child, he participated in Bible Drill at his home church in Mountain Home, AR and enjoyed it.  Around 1994, Don was given the opportunity to lead Bible Drill at First Baptist of Battlefield, MO.  From this point forward, Don has continually led Bible Drill at his local church.  Over the years, Don’s heart and passion for Bible Drill and its participants has only grown.  He became the Greene County Associational Director in about 2005 while still leading Bible Drill in Springfield, MO.  When the MO Baptist Association decided they would no longer fund Bible Drill a few years ago, Don along with two other directors of Children Ministry vowed to save the program.  Today, this program is funded totally by donations. Don’s heartbeat is Bible Drill, and he is committed to continue this program until the Lord directs him differently.
LIZZIE PRICE (SCRIPTURE: BIBLE QUIZZING)
Lizzie Price has been involved with the Bible quizzing program for over a decade, first as a quizzer and now as a coach. As the oldest in a family of nine, she not only participates herself but also has 7 other siblings who are currently involved (the youngest is on his way to joining!). The program is designed to help kids memorize Scripture, make friends, provide a peer group, and learn teamwork and life skills. The amount memorized can vary from a few chapters during a quiz season to whole books, as the child wishes. The group she is affiliated with, Summit Bible Quizzing, is a branch of Bible Quiz Fellowship, an organization going back to 2001.
