Statement of Faith

  • Bible. The Bible, God’s Word, is inspired by Him, is inerrant, complete, and should be read and interpreted as the original author (God) intended (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16).

  • God. There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) and He is three distinct persons, God-the Father, God-the Son (Jesus), and God-the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 1:21-22, 1 Peter 1:2).

  • Creation. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). He made all things in six literal and regular 24-hour days. God created everything fully functional, as it was supposed to be, and very good (Genesis 1:31).

  • Man. Mankind is a special creation of God. God created both men and women in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:27).

  • Sin. All of mankind has sinned and is separated from God (Romans 3:23, 6:23). Man brought sin into the world (Genesis 3).

  • Salvation. Jesus is the only Savior from sin (John 3:16). "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • Baptism. Baptism is not a means for salvation; rather it is a public declaration that one has already believe in Jesus as his or her Savior (Matthew 28:19).

  • Church. The Church is the universal body of believers (i.e those who have believed in Jesus as their Savior) (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:23).

  • Family. The family relationship (husband, wife, child) is created by God and is designed to reflect His nature (Genesis 1, 2).

  • Culture. Culture is meant to be viewed through the eyes of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
