Mouth Painting
Get some painting supplies and let kids paint by putting the paint brush in their mouth instead of using their hands. Use this as an opportunity to thank God for their hands. You could show them this video of Joni Eareckson Tada. She is a Christian that became a quadriplegic as a teenager. She has used her disability to glorify God and is a magnificent mouth painter. No Arms - No Legs - No Limits
Nick Vujicic is a Christian man who was born without arms or legs. He uses creativity to do many things including brushing his hair, swimming, and playing soccer. Even though he has no arms or legs, his joy and smile are evident and are a testimony of the goodness of God. CLICK HERE to learn more about Nick's story and ministry. Show the video below to the kids in your group/family and then have them try to do things without using their normal body parts like doing a race by scooting on their bottom or rolling instead of running, attempting to eat without using your hands, or blindfolding the kids and have them find a certain object in the room. Then thank God for the body that He has given them. |
